There's some reight queer signs in Yorkshire!

Of course they're not real cats!!! What do you think we are!  Percy Shaw from Halifax, got the idea for reflective road studs in 1934 after a cat's glowing eyes reflected his car headlights on a dark, foggy night, saving him from driving off a steep road.  They must have saved thousands of life. My dad always remembered him because he had 5 television sets!!

My parents always called me a daft Apeth (halfpenny) when I was a kid, but we never saw signs for extreme wildfires.

The 'give way to oncoming traffic' sign is a daily trauma as the road narrows to a single lane bridge or laneway...  and the Kettlewell sign is just fun!
