Okay I'll only tell the old joke once...
"How do you get to Carnegie Hall?'
Practice, Practice, Practice ... and practice we did, led by our amazing conductor Carlos. Thank goodness we were so well prepared. Maestro Jonathan Griffith was a demanding conductor who expected excellence and we certainly performed.
We have become so used to Carlos' gentle style, which is constantly focussed on the meaning of the music, that the more brutal approach was surprising at times. The performance was technically good but emotionally and musically it didn't come anywhere near our performance at Cardinal Cerreti Chapel.
It was great to meet other singers from around the world, I certainly learnt heaps and wouldn't have missed it for the world.
