Early morning excitement... another adventure starts... with check in.  Our plane didn't make it from L.A  as its engine was on fire.  Landed safely back where it it started! We are now on a 747 instead of 380 and the plane is overbooked.  100 people will miss out.  Thank goodness we are early and so we are on.

Once on board we're surprised there are so many empty seats.  The service is incredible and we are quickly served drinks and then we wait and .... wait.  Engine problem? No Passport control computers are down and people can't get to the plane.  So off we go leaving everyone behind.  We later found out that Kaye and Kerry from our choir had been interviewed for TV news as they waited in the long snaking line... luckily they made it on board too!

"It doesn’t matter where you’re going, it’s who you have beside you."

Whoo Hoo we are in Byron!

Let's jump for Byron!

The Hat Factory Margaret Ollie

'I’ve never liked housework.  I get by doing little chores when I feel like them, in between paintings.  Who wants to chase dust all their life?  You can spend your whole lifetime cleaning the house.  I like watching the patina grow.  If the house looks dirty, buy another bunch of flowers, is my advice.'

Bravo... a wonderful exhibition at the Margaret Ollie Gallery Murwillumbah

Surfers, Dolphins and Lighthouses

Wonderful Byron...  Time to Walk, Eat, Sleep.   Roger got in some sketching time!

Coffee time at the famous surfing beach.

The dolphins came out to play...
surfers leapt into the turquoise waves.

Can't believe Caleb will be here in a few days... gives me the chance to video yet another random surfer (how come I always pick the wrong one to film... sorry Caleb!)

Selig sind, die da Leid tragen

What an amazing piece of music..Brahms German Requiem has got to be one of my favourites.  Relieved that I made it to the end as it is quite a workout!   Got great reviews and a standing ovation. Yeah!  Can do it all again in 3 weeks at Carnegie Hall!

Yeah... No more Radio therapy!

Everyone who has been through radio-therapy, will know the moment of joy when finally, finally, it is all over!  Now to the Manly Warringah Concert at the wonderful Cerritti Chapel in Manly and then let the fun begin with our annual trip... Byron Bay, New York, Boston, London, Wales, Barcelona and Crete... Yeah!
